Kim Hyun-soo reaches 2,200 career hits…6th in KBO history

LG Twins’ Kim Hyun-soo, one of the team’s and the league’s veteran sluggers, has reached the 2,200-hit plateau in his career.

Kim Hyun-soo started the 12th game of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League against SSG Landers at SSG Landers Field in Incheon on Tuesday, batting third.

In the top of the first inning, Hyun-soo Kim took a changeup from SSG starter Roenis Elias and smashed a single to center field that sailed past the second baseman.

With the hit, Kim, who had 2199 career hits before this game, reached 2,200 career hits. He is the sixth player in KBO history to reach the milestone, behind only Park Yong-taek, Son As-seop, Yang Jun-hyuk, Choi Hyung-woo, and Kim Tae-gyun.메이저사이트

Kim has recorded triple-digit hits in every season since 2008, and on April 15 against the Daegu Samsung Lions, he became the sixth player in history to reach 100 hits in 14 consecutive seasons.
