Rookie Lee Ho-sung gets his first win as a starter with a 6-2 victory over road-bound KT
The Samsung Lions improved to 60 wins (1 tie, 78 losses) and moved into eighth place in the standings at the end of the season. They did so with a 6-2 victory over the traveling home team KT at KT Wiz Park in Suwon, South Korea.
The game was further tilted in Samsung’s favor when KT starter Benjamin was forced to leave the game after two innings due to injury. He complained of arm discomfort.
Samsung rookie pitcher Lee Ho-sung, on the other hand, recorded his first victory with five innings of four-hit ball (one home run), four walks and six strikeouts.캡틴토토
Samsung opened the scoring in the third inning against Lee, who drew two walks and a hit-by-pitch to load the bases before Koo Jae-rook singled to center field.
Kang Min-ho followed with a sacrifice fly to center field to make it 3-0.
In the top of the fifth, leadoff hitter Kang Jun-seo doubled and scored on an RBI single by Koo to extend the lead to 4-0.
Koo went 3-for-4 with three RBIs on the day, including his 11th home run of the season in the eighth inning, raising his season batting average to 3-for-4 and closing the gap on league leader NC Son Asub (3-for-7) by three runs.
Samsung will try to make it three in a row against KIA on the 8th.
