Versatile Lee Kang-in, flanker, central midfielder, and even the front line
In his first season with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Lee Kang-In has shown off his versatility. His versatility is evident in every position he plays, and he is being touted as PSG’s new frontline resource.
“Luis Enrique is considering a ‘pulse nine’ tactic, with Lee Kang-in and Marco Asensio as possible fake strikers,” French outlet RMC Sports reported on Thursday (June 14), adding that “if PSG are to reach the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League, Enrique needs to come up with the right tactics.”
PSG has seen the effects of Lee’s move up front on the last 12 days. He started and played 77 minutes in the Ligue 1 12th round match against Reims, before moving up front in the second half to play a ‘pulse nine’ role. Lee didn’t just stay up front, but played out wide and added to the team’s attack.
After the game against Reims, Enrique said, “A good player can play many positions. Lee is a very good player who doesn’t give up the ball easily. He surprises me every day,” he said, expressing his satisfaction with Lee’s performance.레모나토토 도메인
Since joining PSG this season, Lee has initially played as a flanker. Later on, he switched to central midfield to bring creativity to the team’s midfield. He has also shown his versatility by moving up to the front line.
After the Reims game, 90min said, “Lee Kang-in is showing the same fighting spirit as always and has above-average football intelligence. Despite the absence of an attacking point, he was something special,” and “his use of the ‘pulse nine’ allowed PSG to add more energy to their attacking game.”
Meanwhile, Lee has two goals and one assist in nine games across all competitions this season.
